As a beginner student, you will be placed in either the Level 1 ESL course or the Level 2 ESL course to help you develop basic speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. As a beginner ESL student, you’ll have many opportunities to meet students from around the world, and interact with them in a fun social environment. You will learn about countries and traditions that you had never known about while practicing the English you’ll learn each day. Interaction with other students is part of the ESL program and we organize activities each week to help you practice English outside of the classroom.
As an Intermediate or advanced ESL student, you will be placed in either our Level 3 ESL Course You’ll participate in routine social conversations and talk about topics of personal relevance while enjoying fun interaction with other students. At the end of the course, you will be able to use and understand a range of common everyday vocabulary, understand simple exchanges, common daily instructions, announcements and news items. You will be able to express, as well as, analyze opinions and extract meaning from written texts.
Advanced ESL student, you will study at Level 3 ESL Course or the most advanced ESL class, Level 3 ESL Course. You’ll work on developing your fluency and accuracy in English. By the end of the course, you’ll be able to communicate effectively in daily practical and social situations at both concrete and abstract levels. You will also be able to participate in formal and informal conversations involving problem solving and decision making. Classrooms never have more than 20 students, so you’ll be able to interact with your teacher and develop more of a personalized student/teacher approach to learning. After completing level 3, you may be able to enter some College / University Pathway partner institutes without a TOEFL score and/or be able to successfully take the TOEFL iBT, TOEIC, or IELTS Proficiency Tests.
